Ashley grew up in inner city Melbourne at a time that crystals and crystal healing were still seen to be a ‘hippie’ thing, yet a natural progression for her from her years practicing yoga and meditation.

It was while living in China she realised her passion for crystals through frequent visits to Donghai, the crystal city – with its clean air and affinity for earth’s materials, she began her business, stoned crystals.

THE HEALTH MANTRA YOU SWEAR BY.

I try to reflect every morning and have a moment of stillness before starting my day- I use my crystals to concentrate on my intentions for that day and what I choose to manifest into this world.

WHAT MAKES YOU LAUGH?

When I am squeezed really hard. Sunny days, good food, good company, fresh air and animals especially cats!

WHAT DISAPPOINTS YOU?

When the sun is shining outside and I am prevented from being out in nature with it.

WHAT STAR SIGN ARE YOU?

Not sure If Bi-Polar… or just a Gemini. Haha yes I am a Gemini and very much so. Total troublemaker.

HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE LOVE?

It’s possessive. Irrational. And a million sensations , all at once. When you love fully and unconditionally it is the sun pounding through the darkest of days, no matter what happens you will always be rich.

THE LAST LOVE LETTER YOU SENT?

I like to write little thoughtful notes to my partner Jeremy from time to time. I believe the power of words, especially written with intent are extremely powerful.

WHAT MAKES YOU CRY?

Stress can make me rather teary. Seeing beautiful and majestic animals being hurt or tortured makes me incredibly sad it is so unjust.

YOU FEEL LUCKY WHEN?

Every single morning when I wake up. I used to work in corporate so I know how hard it is waking up to get on transport and walk into an office of stiffs. Working for myself in an industry i love has been one of the best things, it’s changed my life and I feel SO lucky every day.

HOME TO YOU IS?

Melbourne in the summer at the beach. Having Antipasto for lunch with the sweet smell of a sugo cooking away in the background. I am of Southern Italian background and invariably hate cold weather so I rarely stick around for it. I also seriously love food and cooking and feeding is a ritual I love. My favourite months are from September to April when the weather heats up, cooking up a feast and drinking a couple glasses of vino with my family and friends..

WHAT MAKES YOU NERVOUS?

Pushing myself outside the box. I am so often taking risks with my work and setting huge goals for Stoned Crystals. Also with myself I have always strived to continue to evolve who I am and where I am going. They so say ‘ Great things don’t come from being in your comfort zone’.

PEOPLE IMPRESS YOU WHEN…

They believe in themselves and lead by example.

WHAT GROUNDS YOU?

I definitely feel most balanced and grounded when I am travelling and amongst nature. I have a very busy mind and am always seeking visual stimulation and new adventures.
