I was diagnosed with PCOS in March 2016. Previous to this I was gaining weight for no reason and couldn’t keep it off. I originally went to the doctors to check my thyroids or to see if I could find out why I had gained weight. My GP then told me I had PCOS.
I had never heard of it before so me being me (so curious), I then began researching everything and anything to see if there was anything I could do. I was referred to a hospital thinking they would help me with my symptoms but this only ended up with me having to have surgery to remove a dermoid cyst. I thought this may relieve the pain I was in daily – but it didn’t.
I am still searching for something to help me relieve the discomfort of this syndrome but am not yet successful.
