I remember when I was in seventh grade I started my period. That alone can be a frightening experience. Fast forward, sophomore year of high school. That summer I didn’t get a period, all summer long…yay!!! Or at least that’s what I thought at the time. What teenage girl wouldn’t want there period to stop just in time for summer. Well that was my blessing/curse throughout my high school years and until I was about 21 years old. Then that changed to my periods coming every 9 months to yearly all the while going to the doctors and telling me I’m fine. Finally when I was 29 years old my doctor told me I had all the symptoms of PCOS. I kind of had an idea that’s what it was but I guess wanted a firm answer.
So now I’m 34 years old only have a period if I’m on medication, breakout constantly, my skin and my hair are extremely oily, my weight is difficult to maintain, my nails are brittle, I can’t get pregnant, and I get cramps, bloating, my breast is very sore without actually having a period (maybe some spotting or a day long period). Now one of my younger sisters has be diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 18 but at least she can handle it better because of my experiences. I’m so very glad I found MY Tea to help me through my struggles with PCOS issues. It’s much more natural for my body and I didn’t like having to resort to medication for the rest of my life.
